Biography:
My PhD comprised a participatory qualitative research project with disabled people on their experiences in churches. My book, ‘At the Gates: Disability, Justice and the Churches’ (co-written with a former research participant) shares findings with a broad audience, including the researched community of disabled churchgoers. Since completing my PhD I have held research support and research positions in academia, charities and church networks. I currently work as a research associate at Manchester Metropolitan University and run a disability consultancy, while publishing and editing in my field, independently of my employment research focus.
