Biography: 

Mark H. Danley is originally from Newport News, Virginia in the Hampton Roads metropolitan area and got his first introduction to historical studies from the many museums in that region. After undergraduate study at University of Richmond, he earned his M.A. in History at Virginia Tech. Following a little over two years active duty in the U.S. Army, he returned to school to earn his Ph.D. in History from Kansas State University and later a second master's degree in LIS (library and information science) from Louisiana State University. He enjoys, among other things, book collecting, gym workouts, and short-distance running.
