Biography:

I earned a B.S. in Journalism (terribly appropriate these days) in 1987, an M.Ed. in ELA in 2015, and my Ph.D. in 2019. My research interests are varied: digital literacy, arts-based instruction, language and literacy, teachers' faith in the classroom, theology, and the need for grace within the Church.
I write on both Substack and Medium, and I have a blog called Defaulting to Grace. I also write devotions for a Christian publisher and for my church in Roswell, GA.

This piece was YEARS in the making. It is pretty "out there" and when we first submitted it in 2018, no journal wanted it. It took this long for the times to catch up to our work.
