Biography: 

Katie McCullough is a historian of economic and social development, community formation, and emigration in the British Atlantic World, ca. 1750-1850. Katie is the former Director of the Centre for Scottish Studies at Simon Fraser University where she was also a Jack and Doris Shadbolt Fellow in the Humanities and a Shadbolt Endowment Chair. Katie is currently a researcher for the Union of B.C. Indian Chiefs.

Current research areas: 

My current research focuses on economic development and community formation in the British Atlantic world and Indigenous-settler relations in Early Canada, ca. 1770-1850.
