Biography:

Mr Sanju Gurung (UK) gained his BA in Military History and MA in International Security, both from the University of Kent (England). While his BA dissertation reassessed the performance of Gurkhas in the Second World War, his MA dissertation investigated how Nepal as a small and weak state sandwiched between India and China maintained neutrality despite the history of conflict between these two latter states. Sanju carried forward his research on Nepal’s foreign policy enrolling on a self-funded PhD (part-time) at the Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). The title of his working thesis is on a razor’s edge: the troubled neutrality behind the geopolitical dilemma facing Nepal amid the global rise of India and China. Sanju is currently not associated with QMUL as he independently carries his research while working full time as an Independent Consultant and Linguist.
