Biography:
Chung-Hui (Joan) Lin gained her DVM at National Taiwan University in 2001. She entered in a program with combined small animal internal medicine residency training and studying of master’s degree in the topic of blood pressure and heart failure during 2001-2004. She started to get interested in respiratory diseases of dogs and cats since 2004, and found her enthusiasm for canine and feline respiratory medicine. She determined to do clinical research about respiratory medicine for her whole career since 2006 after meeting many great mentors/role models in this field. She earned her PhD in non-invasive pulmonary function testing (clinical veterinary medicine) in 2015 and was selected as a deFacto member of the Asian College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Internal medicine) in 2019. She is currently an attending clinician providing specialty service of respiratory medicine and integrated cardiorespiratory assessment at National Taiwan University Veterinary Hospital, as well as an adjunct assistant professor in Graduate Institute of Veterinary Clinical Sciences of National Taiwan University. Her research interests include non-invasive respiratory diagnostics for canine and feline patients, management strategy of chronic respiratory disease, cardiorespiratory comorbidity, clinical trials, and issues of One Medicine. She loves to have collaboration with other professions.
