Biography: 

Michelle Bonczek Evory is the author of The Ghosts of Lost Animals, winner of the Barry Spacks Award and an Independent Publisher Book Award, as well as an open-source textbook Naming the Unnamable: An Approach to Poetry for New Generations (Open SUNY Textbooks) currently being translated into Gujarati. She has received residencies and grants from the National Parks Arts Foundation, the Kalamazoo Arts Council, and SERDE. She holds a Ph.D from Western Michigan University, an MFA from Eastern Washington University, and an MA from SUNY Brockport. She mentors poets and writers at The Poet’s Billow and can be found at www.michellebonczekevory.com.
