NCIS Research Grant awarded to Phillip Reid

In the summer cycle of NCIS Grant Awards, the committee has awarded a Research Grant to Phillip Reid, towards research expenses for his project "A Boston Schooner in the Royal Navy: Commerce and Conflict in Maritime British America, 1768--1772". We wish Dr Reid 'God speed' with his research and look forward to his report in due course.
Unsurprisingly in the current situation no Conference Support Grant applications were received, so the monies not awarded will be carried forward. Applications for both Conference Support and Research grants of up to $600 are welcomed on at any time. The deadline for the Fall grants cycle is 1 October, and full details of eligibility and submission criteria can be found at www.ncis.org/grants.
