summaries of previous volumes. Subscriptions are provided free with NCIS membership.
Send membership inquiries, subscription orders, and address changes to
NCIS, P.O. Box 838, St. Helena, CA 94574. For copies of NCIS materials,
brochures, and applications, write to katalin100@gmail.com.
A copy of the applications for full member and associate member are
available on the membership page.
The TIS editor also welcomes contributions of news and
articles, book reviews, and notes on any topic clearly of interest and
relevant to independent scholars and independent scholarship.
We prefer submissions written with clarity and grace and prepared in
conformity with MLA style guidelines. Preferred length is no more than 2,000
words. Articles and reviews must be submitted in paper and electronic formats:
-
Select topics and items
for reviews that are likely to be of interest to a large sector of our
wide-ranging membership in the humanities, social sciences, and science,
or that focus broadly on issues of general interest to independent
scholars and independent scholarship.
-
Share news of appropriate
competitions, meetings, awards, events, conferences, calls for papers,
publications, legislation, and anything else of interest. Propose topics
TIS should be covering.
-
When necessary,
submissions will be edited in the interests of space, clarity, and
accuracy. If substantial editing is required, the author will be so
advised and engaged in the editing/revision process. We welcome query
letters.
