I have a B.A. in Philosophy and Women's Studies, an M.A. in Industrial Relations, and I defended my Ph.D. in political science in 2008. All degrees are from the University of Minnesota.
A native Minnesotan, I have a deep sense of place and seek to contribute to my community in and around St. Paul.
Current research areas:
My interests include policy studies, in particular the interaction of democratic practices with the policy process; environmental policy; democratic theory; the political thought of John Dewey and David Hume; qualitative methods.
I am also committed to supporting first generation college students and students from other under represented groups.
