18th century Japanese woodblock prints, specifically those designed by Kitagawa Utamaro.
Recent Scholarly Activity:
Having compiled a complete descriptive catalogue of the woodblock prints of Kitagawa Utamaro (which took more than two decades to complete), I am now working on a complete catalogue of his albums and illustrated books.
